Today I would like to talk about snacking. I love to snack at night. It is something that is very important to me. My husband and I really like to watch TV and indulge in some goodies. This is obviously difficult if you're trying to lose weight. The good news is with WW night time snacking is still possible :) :) So I always save 10 points for the evening. If I wasn't able to do that throughout the day then I save as many as I possibly can and then I use my weekly points to make up the balance. I discovered some really great snacks that are low in points and very satisfying. First, my person fave is Cadbury Thins chocolate bars at 3 points each. If you have 2 it's only 5 points :) (Always use the most of your points). Second, popcorn is another good one. You can find brands that have the points right on them for microwave popcorn but I find it just as easy to air pop my own. For 3 cups of popcorn its 2 points and then I add 1tbsp melted olive oil margarine and add some seasoning and it's a very tasty treat. Third, (and this is my new love) is Popchips :) So tasty and if you weigh out 40g it's only 4 points. 40g is a pretty generous portion too. Of course fruit is always nice at night too and that's free. One trick that's really been helping me too is to just go to bed once my points are done lol. My husband always knows as soon as I've eaten all my points cause I just get up and announce that it's bed time. That way I don't even have the temptation to over do my points. It's working so I always say whatever works!! It's a hard battle and every little trick helps :)
